The Nordic Center website was constructed by experienced programmers together with cross-country ski centers and ski pros to produce a website theme that meets all needs of nearly every Nordic ski center, cross-country ski area or snowshoe area. The website is based on Drupal 9, an open-source framework that allows for unlimited expansion of content and features.
The Nordic Center website comes with built-in functionality and content templates to provide non-programmers with wide-range of tools to run a Nordic center or a Nordic ski area:
- Non-programmers can manage all of the website’s content.
- Granular permission system provides for assigning specific content administration roles to an unlimited number of individuals.
- Grooming reports can be entered using a simple web interface from almost any device. An optional module currently being developed with Kaart will allow for GIS-enabled ski and snowshoe trail grooming maps.
- E-commerce module (if purchased) can power online purchases of ski and snowshoe rentals, retail sales, memberships and pass sales.
- The Events Calendar allows for filtering events by races, ski clinics, social events and other. The Events Calendar can be customized for an unlimited number of event categories.
- Ski Instructors section allows for featuring your ski instructors and their credentials. An optional module provides instructor availability calendar.
- Jobs/Available Positions module provides your center with a recruiting capability where candidates can browse and apply for available positions. The system then stores and organizes applicants and submitted resumes in one location.
- News module has a simple interface for entering your news or newsletters, and organizes them by date.
- Race results uses a sophisticated mechanism to convert your race results spreadsheets into professionally laid out and sortable race result tables.
